Papa and Nana party!!!

Here is what Heath has been doing lately!!!!

Hey a special thanks to Nana and Papa for making Heath's birthday dinner so great!! We had them over for dinner on Sunday. Heath picked a special halibut dinner,(Grandma Bobbie's recipe). It was fun to eat the fish that he helped catch on his last trip to Ak. We had a great dinner and cake. Heath was happy to have them here. It is a blessing to live near them. They are so amazing to all of us. Nana and Papa brought him a nintendo DS. He got a race car game. He loves it. Thanks Nana and Papa. We love you.

Nice feet Nana and Papa!!!!

MY JUMPING BEAN

JUMP TOWN BABY!!!

Heath's favorite thing in the world right now, second really to sticks is
JUMPING
He loves to jump off the couch, chair, bed, whatever really. We signed him up for gymnastics, thinking that would curb some of the jumping. UM, N0!!! He just wants to jump more. I guess jumping comes with boys. So hang on MOM!!!! Here is Heath doing what he loves most. I love the I know I should not do this look in the first pic, but I am going ahead anyway. Bring it on!!!!
GO HEATH!!!!

P.S. What a horrible message I am sending him.
Normally I frown upon this behavior, and do not encourage it, much less take pictures of it in action, but it was such a perfect shot, and really captured Heath at his worst and best!! And it was after all his birthday that day. So now, back to
"Heath", "Stop jumping on the couch"(best mom ( nicest) screaming, nag voice).
Oh, my couch, did I forget to say I LOVE KIDS!! I LOVE KIDS!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE MART!!!

We want to wish our fabulous uncle Martin (Sonny's little bro), a very Happy Birthday!!! The kids love their uncle Mart. He plays with them, spoils them and makes them sooo happy! We love when he comes to visit. Heath asks everyday, when is Martin coming?? He is the best!!! We hope you had a great day of celebration. We are thinking about you and hope to see you soon. Don't work too hard on your special day.

WE LOVE YOU MARTIN!!! Happy Birthday.

SOLD!!!!!

So, this weekend was the annual garage sale for our neighborhood. I love that it is annual, and last year we had three. The sign goes up 3 days before the sale and I start gearing up. We love to open the blinds and see all the tables set up in driveways full of, well let's face it now, JUNK. But, I love it!!!! I know my sister-in-laws, (B,T,M), dad and my favorite bargain hunter friend J* can understand the thrill. Garage sales, or dumpster diving, what ever your fancy is still fun. There is something about finding that treasure, and snagging it, before someone else does. Mostly junk, but I did score on shorts for Austin. The big play house for 40 bucks was gone. Bummer!!! I think what I like about it, is finding something perfect and then hearing the seller say $5 and I will not go any lower, that is a family treasure. Then, I love to bargain, it is such a thrill, and most people can't believe you would ask for it lower on something so valueable, they give you the UM,"five", you say UM"THREE" they say SOLD. Family treasure what???? Sonny and Heath love it just as much, they just love to spend money, who cares what it is. All in all we had a fun Sat morning, and I'm sure we will have fun next, year, oh I mean just kidding!!! when in a few months, they have the annual sale. HEE HE
p.s. that car we did get at a garage sale, but not this one.

Mr. independent

Ok, I know we blog so much about our kids, but they do the strangest, annoying and most hilarious things each day. Austin is especially good, at giving me things to post about. At 18 months, there is never a dull moment for me or him. Tonight, we had eaten dinner (Spaghetti) and had left the dinner on the table to enjoy some time outside in this beautiful weather. We were playing right outside the back door, and Austin wandered in. We caught him with the serving spoon in his hand, standing on the chair, and dipping the left over penne noodles in the sauce in the bowl. SAUCE EVERYWHERE, it was like when you go to the beach, you get home and the sand just keeps coming. It was the dessert that kept on giving. He loved it, and threw a fit when we put him in the bath. It was for sure one of the strange, annoying and hilarious moments of being a mother. Please just help yourself. Gotta love an independent toddler!!!!

Thirsty much???

Today was the best weather we have had in a long time. No humidity, no clouds, sunny and very cool!!!!! Perfect day. The whole family was outside most of the day. Sonny was cleaning out the cooler with mold from the beach a few weekends ago, and I was weeding the flower bed. Heath was playing with his tent in the front yard. Austin was just wandering around getting into stuff. We looked over and there he was drinking from the water hose. Not from the end of the hose mind you, but from the place where it attaches to the faucet on the house. YUCK!!! He was so happy and kept squealing with delight. He was totally drinking by himself and he was so proud of himself. We were mortified. I guess you are not a true Texan, until you have wet you whistle from the yard hose. We did it as kids and lived. Who knew we would be so grossed out by it later? Sonny, we are getting old.

Vacation, what vacation?????

I was the science mom for Heath's class today, and it was such a blast. Who knew preschool science could be so educational and fun for the moms. They learned about clouds, and did a science experiment with ivory bar soap, a microwave, two minutes on high and instant clouds. SO COOL!! Really!!!! The kids loved it. Way to go Mrs. Catoire you rock!!!!! The funny part was when she asked the kids what they were doing for vacation this summer. Most looked confused, some said the beach, one said San diego, some said no vacation this year. When it was Heath's turn, it went something like this. Mrs. Catoire,"Heath are you going on vacation this summer?" Heath, "not unless the ticket prices to Alaska come way down!!!", guess I should talk softer, little feet have big ears. HE HEE HE!!!
