come in HOUSTON!!

So, I got an email that said tonight we would be able to see the space shuttle Endeavor, the space station and one more thing, making their way over Houston. So, we loaded up in the back of the truck in the middle of the culdesac, our neighbors have confirmed their thoughts that we are wierd now. We wrapped up in a blanket starred at the sky and waited. We saw nothing!!!!The kids had a blast waiting, and waiting. Even the neighbor cat Tiger sat on the roof of the truck with us. Even though we went back into the house and we did not see anything, it was a change from the bedtime routine, and fun to be together. H thought we was going to see a space ship. Like the weather here, even space sightings are unpredictable. Hope some of you had better luck!!!!

Austin

Austin is 17 months and quite the charmer. He stops people everywhere we go with his red hair and dimples. Or maybe it's that people can't figure out if I am his mother. He is full of life, loves to climb, bother brother and just be cute. He cuddles, and loves to show you his new shoes and eat.

He will go to nursery in 1 month and mothers day out in the fall. (Mother really needs it now) :)

Being Austin's mom is less hard, but still hilarious. He wants to make us happy, HMMM that's new. He loves to be outside, eat cookies, swing, take baths and be the center of attention. He is easy to love and we are greatful for such a wonderful baby brother for Heath.

5 fun facts about Austin~~~

1. He loves dogs and says DOUGH, when he sees one.

2. He loves to eat, and can eat like a grown man

3. Points and says ugh, when he wants something

4. Climbs on everything
5. Loves his mama and loves to give kisses

WE LOVE SNOOKIE!!!!!

OUR HEAF!!!!

Heath will be celebrating his 5th birthday in one month. It is hard to believe it is already time to start kindergarden, ride the bus, be on swim team. Where did the time go? Baby Heath was just coming home from the hospital.

Heath and all of his friends have trouble with the "TH" sound, so we love our HEAF!!!!!

Being Heath's mom is quite a trip, completely hard and hilarious. He is smart, fun, a great pretender, funny, moody and stubborn (whoops did I write that?). He is a great kid and we are blessed to have him in our family.

Here are 5 fun facts about Heath....

1. He loves to be called Deodorant

2. He loves art, learning and books

3. He loves to speak in permawhine.

4. He is happiest outside with his dad and sticks

5. He likes to streak through the house after his bath

WE LOVE YOU DEODORANT!!!

Only in Texas

The Class: Heath, James, John A., John O., Kaleb, Ryan, Filip, Graeme, Olivia, Maddie lee, Madison, Hannah, Jullian, Mrs, San Marco, and Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Wheeler
We love Texas!!!!!

Only in Texas do they not have an Easter party for preschool, but they have a Rodeo party!!! For the Houston Live Stock show and Rodeo, people wait all year to get out their boots, hats and jeans and eat turkey legs, fried twinkies and say yee haw for two weeks straight every year. It is not are you going to the show, but how many times and what singers are you watching. Even though Heath is not a true Texan by birth, he can eat a chuck wagon breakfast, do the chicken dance, and wear boots and shorts in true cowboy fashion. He did inform his teacher " Texas is not the biggest state" (said like a true Alaskan):). I helped with the festivities this year and the kids had a great time singing Texas songs, dancing and wearing a bandana. They were so cute, and even learned a little Texas history to boot (no pun intened). Giddy up!! Heath.

Park Play

We went to our stake picnic last weekend at Sam Houston state park, so much fun. We enjoyed hanging out with friends, beautiful weather and just relaxing together. Heath had more fun eating cheetos, running in the mud, and playing with sticks (such a boy). Austin ate more cookies than I care to mention, couldn't drag him off the swings, and loved all the wonder of spring in Texas. We stayed until almost dark. I love my outdoor guys!!!!

We have arrived

OK, so we have officially arrived in the world of blogging. I wish I could come up with some clever reason why it took us this long, but frankly it was fear and not coming up with a clever name for our blog. But, with lots of advice from friends, and 49 phone calls to my dear friend, in one night (thanks J), we have started. We thought it would be a great place to showcase the Jackson family's Houston happenings. Enjoy the ride!!!!
